Seth MacFarlane shows off 'A Million Ways To Die in The West' in film's first trailer (Video)

By Daniel S Levine,

There’s a reason why there haven’t been many Western comedies since Blazing Saddles and that’s because that classic is hard to top. However, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is going to take a crack at it with A Million Ways To Die In The West. Universal has released the first trailer for the film.

The studio decided to go all-out with a three-minute red-band trailer that includes a few f-words, violence and sexual references. Needless to say, this is not the trailer that will be shown on TV.

In A Million Ways, MacFarlane takes a role in front of the camera in a film for the first time. In his first feature, 2012’s hit Ted, he voiced the bear. Now, we’re going to see the face that goes with the voice.

He plays a regular guy living in a very dangerous Western town. His new girlfriend, Charlize Theron, is a skilled gun shooter, who teaches him to stand up against a criminal, played by Liam Neeson. Amanda Seyfried plays his ex-girlfriend, while Neil Patrick Harris is the guy Seyfried is not dating. Giovanni Ribisi and Sarah Silverman also appear in the film.

A Million Ways opens on May 30. You can see the NSFW trailer right here.
