The bodies of three deceased people were found Tuesday morning at Fort Hood.
According to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth, officials with the Fort Hood Public Affairs Office have confirmed that the bodies of one man and two children have been found dead inside a Fort Hood residence.
The army base said that the bodies were discovered at 7:15 a.m. local time and that U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command is looking into the deaths.
CNN reports that investigators have said that there is no danger posed to residents.
"We do not believe there is any further threat to the community at this time," said Chris Grey, spokesman for the criminal investigation command.
The victims’ identities and the cause of their deaths has not been released at this time.
Fort Hood is the same site where former Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan went on a shooting rampage in 2009. Five people were killed that day and more than 30 were wounded.
Hasan was sentenced to death in August of last year.
