Stevie Nicks has been hailed as the “Queen of Rock and Roll” by Rolling Stone. Her albums, both as a solo artist and as a member of the band Fleetwood Mac, have earned her 13 Grammy nominations and a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

She is known for her wild, gypsy-inspired style, her long flowing hair, and her twirling dance moves while performing. She’s been married and divorced, overcame a 10-year addiction to cocaine, and refused to have children.

To many of her fans, Nicks is more than just a singer or a songwriter. To her fans, Nicks is the embodiment of a free woman. A 2013 piece on Nicks in New York Magazine pinpointed the reason for her avid following, noting that she's survived an era of music that most didn't. She's overcome drugs and love affairs.

As American Horror Story: Coven wrapped up the season on Wednesday, it featured a second appearance of guest star Nicks. The role was Nicks’ first as an actress in a television series, and featured the White Witch performing several of her top hits. Wednesday’s finale had Stevie singing a deliciously campy version of Fleetwood Mac’s “Seven Wonders” to the witches:
