Tori Spelling's husband Dean McDermott enters rehab following cheating scandal

Dean McDermott has checked into rehab following recent reports that he cheated on his wife, Tori Spelling.

In an exclusive statement, McDermott released to People, he said, "I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family." He added that he voluntarily entered rehab for "health and personal reasons."

Sources for the site say that the treatment at the rehab center is intensive, but the 47-year-old is allowed to see his wife and four children outside of the facility. The source noted, "Their priority right now is their children."

The cheating reports cropped up at the end of December, where it was said that McDermott slept with another woman while promoting his show Chopped Canada in Toronto.

Spelling has never publicly commented on the cheating scandal, but a friend spoke up in early January and said that she is "devastated."

The friend insisted that the actress was not doing well after she found out about McDermott's cheating. The evidence the news affected her so much is in that Spelling never came out and condemned the reports like she has before, the friend added.
