TV Ratings: 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' loses viewers despite Golden Globe win, 'Killer Women' finds new bottom

By Daniel S Levine,

Even though Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine shocked Hollywood with two Golden Globe wins on Sunday, that was still not enough to get anyone interested in the police comedy. In fact, viewership dropped from the previous week. Elsewhere on Tuesday, ABC’s Killer Women managed to find a new bottom.

CBS won in viewers as usual on Tuesday nights, averaging 15.9 million viewers and a 2.5 18-49 rating. The remarkably consistent NCIS kicked things off with 19.5 million viewers and a 3.0 18-48 rating, notes TheWrap. NCIS: LA had 15.9 million viewers and a 2.4 18-49 rating, while Person of Interest capped things off with 12.3 million and a 2.0.

Over at NBC, the peacock network averaged 5.9 million viewers and a 1.7 18-49 rating. Biggest Loser had 5.5 million viewers and a 1.7 key demo rating, while had 6.6 million and a 1.8.

ABC had 4.6 million viewers and a 1.4 18-49 rating overall. Agents of SHIELD came in with 6.3 million viewers and a 2.2 18-49 rating. That was the high point for ABC. Goldbergs (1.8 14-49 rating) and Trophy Wife (1.1) followed, before Killer Women plummeted from last week’s 0.9 rating. The show earned just a 0.7 18-49 rating last night.

Fox averaged just 3.1 million viewers and a 1.3 18-49 rating. Although Brooklyn continues to please critics, Entertainment Weekly notes that the Andy Samberg-starring show dropped slightly to a 1.4 18-49 rating, with 3.5 million viewers. That’s more viewers than New Girl, but that show did earn a 1.6 key demo rating.

The CW’s Originals had 2 million viewers and just a 0.9 rating, while Supernatural managed a 1.0.
