French star Vincent Cassel, who is known for his work in the Oscar winning film Black Swan, is set to star in the latest film from actress/director Maiwenn.
The film will be titled Rien ne sert de Courir and will be the follow up to Maiwenn’s Polisse, Variety reported.
Cassel will be star along side Emmanuelle Bercot, who co-wrote and starred in Polisse. The film will be produced by Alain Attal who has worked with Maiwenn before.
The plot of Courir is being kept a tight secret but its title is inspired by a famous Jean de la Fontaine fable.
Cassel is also set to star in The Tale of Tales along side Salma Hayek, which will be the first English film from Matteo Garrone, ComingSoon.net reported.
The Tale of Tales will start shooting in Italy in the spring, and will be an ambitious film with traditional Italian tales with a modern and different twist than viewers are familiar with.
