'Walking Dead' mid-season 4 poster puts Carl front and center

AMC has revealed the official teaser poster for The Walking Dead’s mid-season premiere, putting Rick’s son Carl front and center.

The fourth season has been on a break since early December, when the shocking mid-season finale aired. The episode ended with the Governor dead, the prison nearly destroyed and every member of the main group separating and going their own way. Rick Grimes and Carl are still together though, as the poster indicates, and will be moving on. The text reads “Don’t Look Back,” with Rick and Carl walking on train tracks.

Carl is played by Chandler Riggs, while Andrew Lincoln stars as Rick.

The Walking Dead is the top-rated series on television, even beating shows on network television. AMC already renewed the show for a fifth season and the network is planning a spin-off about other survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Each episode is also followed by Talking Dead with Chris Hardwick.

The Walking Dead comes back on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 9 p.m. The show is based on the comics written by Robert Kirkman. It is overseen by Scott Gimple, who took over from Glen Mazzara.
