ABC's Wipeout has been renewed for a seventh season. ABC made the announcement earlier Wednesday.
Variety reported that the new season of Wipeout will feature an innovative twist. This season will featured a tournament of champions aspect.
The contestants will compete for the title of Ultimate Wipeout Champion. The season will also feature the continuation of themed episodes. This season contestants will have the chance to win a date with Jill Wagner and another theme will be bosses versus employees, The Hollywood Reporter added.
Executive producer and show creator Matt Kunitz spoke about the need for the show to stay fresh and modern. "“We are always looking for ways to keep the show fresh and exciting."
Kunitz added, "This year, we are amping up the competition with a season long tournament of champions, with the winner from each episode returning to compete against the other winners in an epic battle.”
The reality show is still doing well in the ratings. Wipeout is produced by Endemol USA.
