The world was finally introduced to the Red October sneakers on Sunday. The release of the Air Yeezy II shoes sold out just 11 minutes after the spur-of-the moment announcement.
One tweet from Nike was all it took.

For the sneakerheads of the world who missed this surprising opportunity, there are still other ways to make a purchase — if you have money to blow on the aftermarket. At that point, it could cost hundreds upon hundreds of dollars.
It’s no secret that Kanye West has had annoyances with Nike, which influenced him to make a deal with Adidas. Kanye wanted his shoes in every single store front, yet Nike only wanted the brand to be sold on the specialty designer market, according to Hot New Hip Hop.
"They try to act like people ain't line up for the Yeezys," Kanye West said, according to Hip Hop DX.
Kanye is known for his tirades and outbursts in support of what he believes — even if it is on the crazy side.
The Red Octobers won’t be available for purchase any time soon, so for those who jumped on the opportunity, enjoy staring at them in your closet or wearing them - if you dare.
