Celebrity Tweets: Sunday February 23rd, 2014

By Amanda Jo Scott,

Today marked the last day of the Olympics. A big congrats to everyone who participated. You’re all pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing your remarkable experiences via social media. It was greatly appreciated. Today’s hockey match for gold seemed to be the only thing Olympians and celebs were tweeting about this morning. Then, tweets seemed to be all about the closing ceremonies. It just doesn’t seem fair that we have to wait so long for another Winter Olympics. It’s really quite unbearable.

Aside from the Olympics, Twitter was full of gems. We were reminded that the Oscars are nearing, Sundays are a day of relaxation, and we all want a bit of love in our life. Rosie O’Donnell’s family lost their dog, but thankfully it was returned. So happy for the safe return of their pup. Most importantly, Hank Azaria reminded us what life is all about: making a better tomorrow for everyone, especially the kiddos. Enjoy.

The last day of the Olympics provided some interesting and inspiring tweets…

Some Olympians watched the Gold Medal hockey match and closing ceremonies at Grand Central Station.

Ted Ligety thanked his mother and shared a pic.

Then the closing ceremonies…

Yes, Joss Christensen, that’s definitely what heaven looks like.

Sage Kotsenburg shared some loveliness (not pertaining to the Olympics).

In total agreement with William Shatner.

Onto a few non-Olympic celeb tweets from the day…

Hank Azaria absolutely has the right idea.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is sure to get in the top ten with moves like this.

Who’s ready for the Oscars?!?! So many great films. So many great performances.

Rainn Wilson asked an intriguing question…

Agreed, Chloë Grace Moretz. This is great.

Devon Sawa is grateful for his Twitter followers.

Kellie Pickler had the right idea today. Sunday is supposed to be a day of relaxation.

Enjoy your Sunday with this gem from Keith Urban.

Rosie O’Donnell and her family had a bit of scare when they lost their dog, but it found its way back to their loving home.
