Charlotte Dawson, who was a former model and an Australian TV star, was found dead at the age of 47 on Saturday morning of an apparent suicide.
Dawson, who suffered from depression, was struggling as of late, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. Her apartment was going up for auction that day and she believed that there wasn't enough promotion for her as she is nominated for the Logie award for her time as a judge on Australia's Next Top Model.
She also admitted in an interview that she didn't believe she could ever watch her 60 Minutes interview, which laid bare much of her life, including her marriage to Scott Miller that fell apart amidst his criminal convictions relating to drugs.
She said, "I continue to fight my depression - it's a bitch of a thing - and I fear watching something like this as it's the most painful time in my life."
According to The Associated Press, the Sunday Telegraph reported a security guard, who was checking up on Dawson after her friends said the former model hadn't tweeted in awhile, found she had hanged herself.
Dawson, who is from New Zealand, was recently in the news because she told the popular, young singer Lorde to leave the country. "Unless you're very mediocre you need to get out of there - you just have to if you want to keep succeeding otherwise it'll just crush your spirit."
