With Chris Paul’s return to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, the team conquered the Philadelphia 76ers with an astonishing final score of 123-78.
Los Angeles Times reports the game was Paul’s first after a month of being sidelined with a shoulder injury. At halftime, the Clippers lead the Sixers 69-30 to set a team record. Paul played for nearly 23 minutes of the blowout game.
After the game, Paul spoke of his return. “It’s one of those things you never know what it’s going to be like until you actually get out there and compete and play. It just felt good," he said.
According to Sports Illustrated, the game was highlighted by several exchanges between Paul and teammate Blake Griffin. In only 27 seconds, the pair completed two windmill alley-oop dunks on the Sixers.
Paul contributed seven points and eight assists to the game, while Griffin racked up 26 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers.
