Driver’s sister among the dead in wrong way crash

By Michelle Kapusta,

Officials have said that the alleged driver’s sister is among the six people that were killed in a wrong way crash on a California freeway early Sunday morning.

According to NBC 4, Olivia Culbreath of Fontana, faces criminal charges after she crashed a red Chevrolet Camaro into two cars when she allegedly drove the wrong way on the Los Angeles County Route 60 highway while possibly under the influence.

"There are witnesses saying she was exceeding 100 mph," California Highway Patrol Spokesman Rodrigo Jimenez said. "We believe alcohol had something to do with this crash."

Officials have said that a family of four and two others, including Culbreath’s sister, were killed in the wreck.

The 21-year-old suspected driver herself was injured and hospitalized, but listed in stable condition.

The New York Daily News reported that not long after the horrific Southern Calif. crash another collision in Florida had the same tragic results and killed five people. Four of the victims were fraternity brothers.
