The Ellen DeGeneres Show has reached a series high before host DeGeneres hosts the Oscars. The show drew its largest audience ever last week.

The week of Jan 27th saw some impressive numbers for daytime talk shows. The Ellen DeGeneres Show show drew in an average of 3.3 household ratings which equals 4.6 million viewers overall. This is a best for the series, which is now in its 11th season. This is a 5% increase from last week and a 25% increase from this time last year, Variety reported.

These numbers moved Ellen to the same position as Live With Kelly & Michael for the second place amongst syndicated talk shows. Live With Kelly & Michael is averaging a 3.4 rating which translates into 4.61 million viewers.

DeGeneres has had some big names on the show recently including Super Bowl halftime performer, Bruno Mars. Mars went on the show to talk about the backlash from his performance but he told DeGeneres that he was proud of his performance and is glad that he can encourage young artists everywhere, E! Online added.

DeGeneres is set to host the Academy Awards on March 2.
