People are going crazy over the release of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, and now that the cast has finished filming, the anticipation is even higher. Fans everywhere can’t wait to watch their favorite erotic book series come to life on screen. Now, hopefully, some previews will be released to hold everyone over until the big release day, which is still nearly a year away.
The author of the series, E.L. James, announced on her Twitter on Friday that they are finally done filming. “And that’s a wrap…” she tweeted.
She also posted a picture to her Instagram of her with the movie’s director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, with the caption, “One of us is drinking…It’s a wrap.”
E.L. James also retweeted what one of the featured actors on the set, Matt Granger, tweeted. “23 feature films & I just wrapped the best one. Thank you @E_L_James & the entire #50ShadesOfGrey cast & crew,” the tweet read, with a picture of a cooler filled with champagne and beers to celebrate.
According to the NY Daily News, the movie was filmed in Vancouver. It will star Dakota Johnson, 24, as Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan, 31, as Christian Grey.
About a month ago, a teaser poster was revealed. It was a simple display of Christian Grey in a perfectly fitting suit, gazing out over a foggy Seattle skyline from a building window. The poster read, “Mr. Grey will see you now,” and fans everywhere went crazy over it.
The film is set to hit theaters on Valentine’s Day in 2015. It’ll be hard for fans to wait until then, but now that the movie is done being filmed, everyone is hoping for more than just a poster teaser.
