Even though her fiancé, Dwyane Wade is reportedly worth millions more than she is, actress Gabrielle Union is the one who insisted on getting a pre-nup.
Union appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show on Monday night and dished about her upcoming nuptials to the Miami Heat star.
"I've got to protect my stuff," the 41-year-old Being Mary Jane star told Hall, People reports. She said she has learned from her past mistake of not getting one with her last marriage to NFL star Chris Howard.
She added, "The biggest difference between this and the last marriage will be a prenup – at my insistence. The reality is, I've never seen Dwyane balance a checkbook."
The couple got engaged in December and have been planning their wedding ever since. She explained she isn’t having any bridesmaids in the wedding and they’re just keeping it simple.
Union went on to say they’re being picky about the guest list, with Wade being the “executioner.”
"There's a lot of people that think they're coming. And they are not," she explained. “He's like, 'Let's go through your list…Absolutely not.' Yeah, if you're not about us and we don't both have a relationship with you, you're not gonna make it."
