The Hunger Games: Catching Fire won big at the Costume Designers Guild Awards. The awards took place on February 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Catching Fire won the award for Fantasy for her futuristic outfits.
Catching Fire features some over the top outfits that were worn by Jennifer Lawrence throughout the film, including a wedding dress that was an important piece of the story.
Also among those honored for their elaborate and unique costume designs included Trish Summerville, House of Cards, Tom Broecker, and Blue Jasmine’s Suzy Benzinger, Variety reported.
This was a night when the fashion and work behind the movies were honored. The Mindy Project costume designer spoke about working behind the scenes and the awards, saying, "As costume designers, we take on the formidable task of dressing thousands of actors for a crowd scene or giving an actor 30 changes for one 30-minute episode of television."
Coming Soon reported that Patricia Norris won an award for Excellence in Period Film for her work on 12 Years a Slave.
