Investigators have declared that the sinking of Wayne Newton’s yacht was accidental.

According to the Associated Press, no one onboard was injured when the ship sank stern-first in 49 feet of water. According to park service spokeswoman Christie Vanover, "One hose was disabled by a kink, and the other one wasn’t properly connected." Of the yachts that were behind the Hoover Dam on the reservoir, Newton's Rendezvous was one of the largest.

Newton and his family moved in June to a smaller property. Newton’s former property, Casa de Shenandoah, a 36-acre property outside Las Vegas, was put up for sale in September for $70 million, according to ABC.

Newton is a popular singer and entertainer who appeared with the Grand Ole Opry road show. He worked with many showbiz legends including Bobby Darin and Jack Benny. As an actor, Newton is known for his work on the television series Smokin’ Acres. He has appeared as himself on the television series Las Vegas. Newton is native American and was voted the “Native American Entertainer of the Year.”
