Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogan among actors for ‘Pulp Fiction’ live reading

By Andrew Wilson,

The Film Independent at LACMA Live Read, founded by Jason Reitman, selected Pulp Fiction for its third live read and got help from an all-star cast that included Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jonah Hill and other notables getting into character.

According to Variety co-writer of This Is The End, Evan Goldberg, brought a surprise guest list worthy of his own movie, with Seth Rogan, Rebecca Romijn, Lizzy Caplan and Michael Chikilis, among others.

Some dressed in character, some casual, the packed 600-seat Bing Theater got right into as cheers came for Caplan reading Honey Bunny’s iconic line, “Any of you f--king pricks move, and I’ll execute every motherf--king last one of ya!”

Best in show, according to Rolling Stone went to Jordan Peele’s interpretation of Jules Winnfield, played by Samuel L. Jackson in the movie, with Peele’s rendition preferring a more humorous read than to come off as menacing. Still, the site notes he pulled off Winfield's change of heart very well.

Unfortunately, no recording devices or cameras were allowed inside, but we can always hope for some industry exec to have recorded a snippet or two.
