Reports are coming out that hours before Justin Bieber was arrested for drag racing, and driving under the influence, the singer was clocked at 136 mph in his yellow Lamborghini, however at the time of his arrest the car was going 27 mph.
Bieber’s car has a built in GPS system, which records the time and speed at which the car is going. According to TMZ, at 1:23 a.m. the high priced car allegedly hit 108 mph and within minutes hit 136 mph on the Julia Tuttle Causeway in Miami Beach.
At the time of the entertainer’s arrest, in which police reported that Bieber was drag racing, the GPS system tracked the speed to 27 mph, which is 3 mph under the speed limit.
According to the Inquister, even if Bieber wasn’t speeding at the time of the arrest, police can still use the GPS reading if it’s accurate as evidence along with the toxicology report.
Bieber will be arraigned on February 14; however he may not be present, and will have a court date on March 3.
