Kelly Rowland talks Destiny Child’s past and Beyoncé’s new album

Destiny’s Child alum, Kelly Rowland, recently unveiled what she thinks of former group-mate, Beyoncé’s new album.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Rowland says that she knew the surprise album was coming, but wasn’t entirely sure what day.

“It was the most brilliant,” she said. “I’m so proud of her.”

She also said in the interview that she has three favorite songs off her friends’ new album. “Blue,” a song Beyoncé wrote for her daughter, makes Rowland cry but the single “Heaven” is also one she loves.

“As soon as that song comes on, it’s something that’s very spiritual about that record that’s incredible,” she said. Rowland is also a fan of “Flawless.”

Back in December, Rowland confirmed that she is engaged to longtime boyfriend, Tim Witherspoon.

She’s also planning on getting back into the studio to record a new album saying, “I’m super excited to get back into the studio, you have no idea.”

“It’s actually been the main thing on my brain because I feel like have so much to say at this point in my life,” she added.

But the lingering question of the interview was definitely “What’s your favorite Destiny Child song?” She responded, “’Say My Name.’ Definitely, ‘Say My Name.’”
