Having recently signed a one-year deal to play with a pro team in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, Lamar Odom is still showing signs of love for his soon-to-be ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian.
Kardashian filed for a divorce from Odom in December. At the time, there had been various rumors regarding Odom abusing drugs and cheating within the marriage.
Although the basketball player has now moved to Spain, he has decided to open up to reporters in Spain about his high regard for Kardashian.
“I love my wife. She’ll always be my wife, no matter what,” Odom told Us Weekly on Feb. 21. His new team, Baskonia, or Laboral Kutxa, had a press conference moments before he spoke with Us Weekly.
“Who knows?” Odom continued, “We don’t know exactly if [the divorce is going through]. Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife.”
Odom shared how he had no regrets about marrying the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.
“Those were some of the best years of my life,” he said. “Being married and being married to a woman I decide to marry was, besides having children, the most important thing in my life.”
With the rumors that circled around Odom at the time, he did share that he did have regrets, even if his marriage was not one of them.
“We all have regrets, but the thing is to learn from life. There’s no one in this room, no one in this world who can say, ‘I’m mistake-free, I have made no mistakes.’” Lamar continued, “If you can introduce me to that person, please introduce me to that person. Let me meet him and speak to him.”
