McFly’s Dougie Poynter signed to model agency

Bassist Dougie Poynter of the UK pop band McFly signed with Storm Model Management.

After attending a party held by Storm Model Management earlier this week, it seems that Poynter will be following some of his friends, like Cara Delevingne, down the runway.

When he is not playing bass with his band McFly, or their latest creation the super group McBusted, Poynter can be found working on his clothing line Saint Kidd. Perhaps that’s from where the idea of modeling stemmed.

On Feb. 18, Storm Model Management tweeted the news of Poynter officially joining the team.

A Storm Model Management representative also spoke to Harper’s Bazaar UK about the new addition.

“We are really excited to be working with Dougie Poynter through our Storm Artists divison,” the representative said. “The talent division at Storm also works with A-list names from the world of film and music to create exciting opportunities within the fashion industry. Dougie will join a prestigious client roster which includes other bands, DJs and musicians.”

Apparently, the team at Storm are not the only ones excited to see what Poynter will be up to. According to Contact Music, a source told the Daily Mail their thoughts about Poynter’s modeling career.

“Dougie has got great style, and he’s really caught the eye of some top scouts,” the source said. “His career looks like it will really take off in the future.”
