A pet store owner in Las Vegas, Nevada has been arrested after allegedly setting fire to her own business while leaving 28 puppies inside.

Store owner of Prince and Princess Puppy Boutique, 35-year-old Gloria Lee, was taken into the Clark County Jail and charged with first-degree arson after the fire was set early Monday morning.

According to ABC News, the fire that was set caused $100,000 worth of damage to the pet store. The reason for the fire is unknown at this time.

Las Vegas Sun reported that the shop owner, who is at the Clark County Detention Center, has bail set at $62,000.

“Fortunately, the quick response and actions taken by our firefighters, the activation of three sprinkler heads and the unusual design of the kennels prevented this from being very tragic,” stated Clark County spokesman John Steinbeck.

The Clark County Fire Department was able to save all 28 puppies that were inside of the building during the horrific fire.

The incident is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
