Pizza Hut manager in West Virginia fired for urinating in kitchen sink

By Daniel S Levine,

A Pizza Hut district manager at a Kermit, West Virginia location has been fired after video of him urinating in a kitchen sink surfaced.

The sink is usually used to wipe pans and utensils, which are used to make the pizzas. The Williamson Daily News confirmed that the Mingo County Health Department has shut down the location and there’s no date set to allow it to restart operations. Pizza Hut would have to send corporate officials to the location to oversee it being cleaned up again before it can reopen.

Pizza Hut said it was “embarrassed” by the manager’s actions, notes The Associated Press. The company said that he has been fired and it has “zero tolerance” for behavior like this. Pizza Hut did say that the incident happened after the location was closed for business.

“The video speaks for itself,” Brett Vance of the Mango County Health Department told the Daily News. “There’s no way for the manager to deny what occurred. My concern now is to make sure the restaurant is up to par and meets our health and safety guidelines so they can once again serve the residents of the local area.”

The name of the manager was not released.
