Robbie Williams announces Australia tour

Robbie Williams has announced that he will be going on a his first Australian tour in eight years.

Williams will be taking on a different approach to this tour and will be playing smaller more indoor venue. This tour will offer up a big band style and will feature older and new songs from his album, Swings Both Ways, Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Williams arrived in Australia and made the announcement on The Today Show and performed his hit "Angels," News.com reported.

He also talked about the inspirations behind this tour. "I used to get such a thrill as an 8-9-10-11-12-13-year-old at my grandma's eating a crisps sandwich watching the Morecambe and Wise Show and having the magic of showbiz wash over me," Williams said.

He went on to explain that now he has the ability to make his own show. "Now I'm in the position to be those people and it is a bit like magic: I can conduct my own showbiz."
