Playing their first and only show in the Middle East, the Rolling Stones launched their world tour once again, where fans traveled from throughout the United Arab Emirates and descended in Abu Dhabi.
Reuters reported iconic frontman Mick Jagger, dressed in black sequins and red satin, strutted and sauntered across the stage, singing hits including "It's Only Rock 'n Roll," "Honky Tonk Women," "Brown Sugar" and "Sympathy for the Devil.”
Dubbed the 14 On Fire tour from the band’s website, an extension of their 50th anniversary Stones On Fire tour from last year, will continue to take the boys to Japan, Singapore, Macau, Shanghai, Australia and New Zealand, with Abu Dhabi being the first stop.
The Stones also took to Instagram for their Middle East debut, posting live photos of the band with names of songs, asking fans to vote for what should be played with the hashtag “#STONESABUDHABI.” Such songs up for selection include “Ruby Tuesday,” “Gimme Shelter,” and “Paint It Black“ and “Angie,” with the latter two making the setlist.
