“Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke and wife, actress Paula Patton, announced they have decided to split on Monday.
In a statement to People, the pair said, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
As earlier reported by New York Daily News, Thicke met Patton when he was 14 years old and the two ended up becoming high school sweethearts. They got married on June 11, 2005. The pair has a three-year-old son named Julian Fuego Thicke.
Thicke and Patton appeared at the Grammy’s together despite some rumors of Thicke’s infidelity. Thicke has been in the spotlight due to some pictures of him expressing some unusual behavior for a married man, including being spotted with numerous women all cozied up to him. Though rumors had been swirling for months, E! Online reported on Thicke's latest cheating scandal in late January.
The two have always been very vocal about their successful and loving marriage, with Thicke claiming, “We're pretty sure we've loved each other for a few lives."
