Tomorrowland sells 360,000 tickets in under an hour

By Chelsea Lewis ,

Tomorrowland is a Belgian dance festival and this year's event set records Saturday morning. Tickets went on sale for Tomorrowland and it sold out, selling 360,000 tickets in under an hour.

Amazingly, that is significantly longer than last year which sold out within minutes. This year's festival has been extended from one weekend to two. The festival will be taking place on July 18-20 and 25-27, The Mirror reported.

This marks the 10th anniversary of the event and is cited as the reason that capacity for the dance festival was doubled, Billboard reported.

Attendees from over 220 countries will be arriving in the town of Boom for Tomorrowland. Fans that couldn't get tickets will be able to watch the festival via a livestream online. Last year the livestream was watched by 16.8 million music fans around the world.

For additional information regarding the festival and updates fans can go to the official website for Tomorrowland .
