By Joy Perrone,

Jimmy Fallon has officially taken the reins from Jay Leno and the first week of episodes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon promises a number of impressive celebrity guests.

Fallon's Tonight Show premieres February 17 on NBC, and the network is determined to start the show off right with a first week full of interesting guests. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the opening lineup will be a good mix of guests and musical performers.

The show opens next Monday with Will Smith and musical guest U2. Tuesday, February 18 will feature Jerry Seinfeld, Kristen Wiig of Bridesmaids fame, and Lady Gaga as the musical guest. Wednesday's guests are Bradley Cooper with a musical number by country superstar Tim McGraw. Thursday will be marked by a visit from First Lady Michelle Obama and comedic actor Will Ferrell with performances from Arcade Fire. Friday wraps up the star-studded week with Fallon's personal friend Justin Timberlake. Fans are hoping to see the pair do the "History of Rap" segment they made popular on Late Night.

Billboard's cover story on Fallon was published February 7 and gives a hint as to what viewers might see on The Tonight Show. Speaking about getting permission or instructions from NBC Fallon said, "No one tells me [to do] anything -- they see what we've done with our show." With Fallon having creative license, fans can look forward to a hilarious and entertaining show.
