Ellen Page is known for her range. From indie flicks to blockbusters, the 26-year-old actress has had many more than 10 great movies. She has starred in over 20 movies and has had roles on over 10 television shows. The 10 on this list are just some of her greatest.

As we previously reported, Page announced that she was gay during a Human Rights Campaign event on Friday.

The speech was posted on YouTube and brought attention to Twitter. Many other celebrities tweeted support for her.

Page’s first role was in the 1997 television show Pit Pony. Her first movie was a 2002 short film, The Wet Season. She also voices a character in the video game, Beyond: Two Souls.

In her speech for The Human Rights Campaign she called Missouri Tigers football player Michael Sam, who recently announced he was gay, a “hero.” She also said that she was tired of “hiding” and “lying by omission.”

10. Super, 2010

Super follows the story of Frank Darbo (Rainn Wilson) who believes that God has chosen him to become a super hero after his wife (Liv Tyler) leaves her for a strip club owner, Jacques (Kevin Bacon). Page plays the sassy store clerk that ends up being his sidekick.

The film is certified “rotten” on the review website, Rotten Tomatoes. Some of the criticism lies in the fact that the plot is so similar to Kick Ass another film about citizen superheroes released around the same time.

9. Peacock, 2010

Peacock is a thriller that stars Cillian Murphy, Susan Sarandon and Page. It received negative reviews from viewers but Page’s performance was met with critical acclaim.

Peacock tells the story of a man with multiple personalities and how he was caught in a lie. After a train crashes in John Skillpa’s (Murphy) yard, he is caught in his other personality, Emma. Instead of telling his neighbors, he tries to say that Emma is his wife. A young mother (Page) is the only one who knows and understands John.

8. The Tracey Fragments, 2010

The Tracey Fragments follows Tracey Berkowitz (Page) as she searches for her missing little brother, Sonny (Zie Souwand). Sonny thinks he’s a dog. In the movie, she is alone, searching through the worst parts of the city, hoping to bring her brother home.

The film was adapted into a comic book and received negative reviews from critics. It currently holds a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film was disliked because it was confusing and doesn’t take enough risks to be a true drama.

7. Wilby Wonderful, 2004

Wilby Wonderful is a film that follows a small town of Wilby. The title comes from a plot point in the movie that the sign for the town is painted backwards so instead of saying “Wonderful Wilby” it says “Wilby Wonderful.”

Wilby is preparing for their fair and a scandal happens. The town’s newspaper publishes the details of men captured in a drug raid.

The movie stars James Allodi, Maury Chaykin, Paul Gross, Rebecca Jenkins, Sandra Oh and Page.

Page won an Atlantic Canadian Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor- female for her role as Emily Anderson. The film currently holds a 71% on Rotten Tomatoes

6. Hard Candy, 2005

Hard Candy is a thriller about a 14-year-old girl who tortures a suspected pedophile. The show stars Patrick Wilson, Page and Sandra Oh.

Hayley (Page) meets up with Jeff (Wilson) after a chat. She makes sure that he knows how young she is. Then, she drugs him and ties him up. While he is tied up, she tortures him and searches his apartment for evidence that ties him to other child rapes and murders.

The film got positive reviews and won multiple awards from film festivals.

5. Whip It, 2009

Whip It follows the story of a roller derby team. It stars Drew Barrymore, Page, Kristin Wiig, Marcia Gay Harden, Juliette Lewis and Alia Shawkat. It is based it on the novel Derby Girl and was Barrymore’s directorial debut.

Bliss is a regular girl in Texas who is forced into beauty pageants by her mother (Harden) and finds an escape in a local roller derby team, the Hurl Scouts. The team is the worst in the roller derby and Bliss joins in the hopes to help find herself and have fun.

Whip it is certified fresh with an 84% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Drew Barrymore was nominated for a Bronze Horse at the Stockholm Film Festival.

4. X-Men: The Last Stand, 2006

Page first made her X-Men debut in X-Men: The Last Stand but will return in the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Page played Kitty Pryde or Shadowcat. Her character has the ability to walk through matter and solid objects. Because she has a crush on Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) Shadowcat causes relationship drama between Iceman and Rogue (Anna Paquin).

The Last Stand is the third installment in the X-Men films. The film was met with mixed reviews. While the actors were praised for their performances, it was the plot that gave the film a 57% rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

3. To Rome with Love, 2012

To Rome with Love is a Woody Allen film that stars Page, Alec Baldwin, Penelope Cruz, Jesse Eisenberg and others. Baldwin narrates the film. It tells four separate stories within the film.

In Page’s story, she plays Monica, shallow best friend to Sally (Greta Gerwig) who visits Sally and her boyfriend, Jack (Eisenberg). While Monica is visiting John (Baldwin) is visiting as well. While Sally is in classes, Jack cheats on Sally with Monica. John tells him that it isn’t a good idea but he does it anyway.

The film received mixed reviews. However, it is the seventh highest grossing film for Sony Pictures Classics. It is also Allen’s fourth highest box office total.

Inception is about business partners who can enter minds and dreams and steal people’s ideas. They use their skills to perform corporate espionage. They then have to try to do “inception” or implant ideas into people’s heads. The film has an incredibly ambiguous and infuriating ending.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Page, Ken Watanabe and Marion Cotillard are all in the film. Hans Zimmer arranged the music. The film won four Academy Awards and was nominated for eight total, including Best Picture.
