R&B superstar Trey Songz has announced that his upcoming album with be called Trigga and it will be released on June 30.
The Source reports that Songz revealed that his new album will be called Trigga after visiting a group of students at a high school in Baltimore.
Songz told students at New Era Academy High School about his new album after some students asked him questions about it. Songz made a surprise visit on Wednesday to the school as part of the Get Schooled program, which seeks to inspire students by having artists like Songz come in and motivate the students. Songz told the students not to waste time trying to be someone else when they can be the person God made them.
Rap Up notes that Trigga album will be his sixth album. The name "Trigga" comes from Songz's alter ego, in which he raps over popular songs by other artists. “I’ma be having fun on the album,” Songz said.
His last album, Chapter V, came out in 2012 and became a premiered on the charts at No. 1.
