Since last month, many states on the east coast have been dealing with dangerous winter storms, as well as the many inches of snow that have fallen as a result. Because of the extreme weather, production of many television shows that are shot in Georgia have shut down production altogether.

The Hollywood Reporter reports how shows such as The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Drop Dead Diva, and Devious Maids have all shut down production in Georgia because of the incoming winter storm.

The Vampire Diaries and The Originals have only been scheduled to miss one day of production on Thursday, Feb. 13. Drop Dead Diva is scheduled to miss two days, Wednesday Feb. 12 and Thursday Feb. 13, however Devious Maids will only miss one day of production on Wednesday, Feb. 12. Whether or not Devious Maids will be back on schedule on Thursday has yet to be decided.

The Wrap reveals that Drop Dead Diva and Devious Maids are presently shooting their sixth and second seasons, respectively. Both shows are shooting a total of 13 episodes each for the season.
