Former Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul stars in the new movie Need for Speed. He revealed in an interview that he was once a little reluctant to do it.
“When I first saw the script for Need For Speed on my desk, I was like, ‘Ugghh. No! What are they doing?’ I instantly thought well they’re just trying to make another The Fast and the Furious," Paul told Euronews. "That’s what my first instincts were."
However, "I read the script and was so surprised that there was such a great, gritty story behind all of it – an a lot of fun driving," he added.
In terms of action films, Paul was seen as Rick in Mission: Impossible III. He plays Tobey Marshall, an ex-convict looking for revenge, in the movie Need for Speed. The film also features Scott Mescudi, who plays Benny, a helicopter pilot, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Need for Speed is a racing video game-turned thriller. Director Scott Waugh kept many car stunts in the film. Many actors leave the difficult scenes to the stuntmen, but Paul drove as often as possible for the film.
The film opens on March 14.
