Anne Heche is set to star in the upcoming USA's thriller, Dig, a six-episode mini-series that is being helmed by Tim Kring and Gideon Raff.
Kring is known for his work on Heroes and Raff has worked on several episodes of Homeland.
Variety reported that Heche will be playing the head of an FBI office in Jerusalem. Her character will be searching for a religious artifact that can alter the course of history forever.
Jason Isaacs was cast to star alongside Heche in the upcoming drama, The Hollywood Reporter added.
The series will go into production in Jerusalem and in other international areas shortly. Dig has a scheduled air date of late 2014 in the U.S.
The actress was featured on the NBC comedy Save Me briefly and is currently working as a producer on the upcoming NBC/Universal TV comedy Bad Judge, which will be starring Grey's Anatomy alumna Kate Walsh.
Heche was also recently seen in Arthur Newman with Colin Firth and Emily Blunt. She was nominated for an Emmy for Gracie's Choice.
