Fund-raising ideas can be so mainstream, and at 61 years old, Arnold Schwarzenegger has come up with a new way to support a favorite charity, the After-School All-Stars. The After-School All-Stars is an organization that provides comprehensive after-school programs to keep children safe and help them to succeed in school. In order to raise money for the program, Schwarzenegger is raffling off the possibility to spend a day with him in a tank he purchased in 1992.
According to Fox News, the winner of the raffle will get a trip to L.A. and the chance to spend the day with Schwarzenegger driving the tank. In the comical video clip, it shows Arnold crushing many objects into the ground, including a sofa, bubble wrap, and a taxi cab, according to the Daily News.
Schwarzenegger made his career on his strength and presence. In 1970, he became the first ever Mr. Olympia. The muscle man has been known to appear in hit films like The Terminator, True Lies, Around the World in 80 Days, and Last Action Hero. The movie star from Austria has also been an actor and a politician. Fans used to call him “The Governator” after this popular actor became the 38th Governor of California.
Raffle tickets for Schwarzenegger’s fund-raiser range from $5-$10, and the popular actor is matching donations. The contest ends Friday at midnight.
