Beck announces North American tour

By Chelsea Lewis ,

Musician Beck has just announced an upcoming North American tour. This comes after Beck released his second highest charting album in his career.

The tour will only feature a small number of dates, starting on April 9 in Santa Barbara, Calif. The tour will be making stops in Arizona, Texas, Ohio and Canada, Billboard reported.

The tour will wrap up near the end of July, Ace Showbiz reported.

Along with the upcoming tour dates, Beck can also be heard playing at Coachella this year. Coachella is just the start of his music festival lineup, he will also be playing Firefly in June, Pitchfork and Forecastle in July.

Beck just released Morning Phase. The album debuted in the Billboard 200's top ten by selling 87,000 copies in its first week of release.

In a recent interview Beck discussed his new album and that his work ethic has only increased with this record.

"There's always this unreachable that you're trying to get to, and you get pissed you can't get there, but that's the beauty of it," Beck said. "I put all my time into this, and I still feel like I'm still figuring it out. There's still more to do. When I'm playing live is when I really feel it - like there are songs missing. Like, 'This is such an incomplete picture."
