'Blue' season three with Julia Stiles moving from YouTube to Hulu

By Chelsea Lewis ,

Julia Stiles' popular YouTube show Blue will be returning for a third season, but it will not be available for fans to watch on YouTube. The show will instead air on Hulu and Fox.com.

Variety reported that two years ago, digital studio WIGS was one of the early adopters of original online programming and received funding from YouTube. That funding resulted in the original series Blue, which has over 65.5 million views on YouTube to date.

WIGS recently cut a deal with Fox Broadcasting for programming and distribution that resulted in a partnership between the two studios. As a result of this partnership, Blue will only be seen on Hulu and Fox.com, instead of YouTube.

The new season of Blue will be available for streaming on Hulu Plus starting on Friday, March 28. The show will be featured in longer formats ranging from 40-60 minutes, TV By The Numbers reported.

Season three of the popular show that features Stiles as a mom moonlighting as an escort on the side, was written and directed by WIGS co-founder Rodrigo Garcia.
