The soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful is having a broad reach, making it all the way to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Cast members Katherine Kelly Lang and Don Diamont began filming their scenes on Monday. According to The National, actress Lang said of the adventure, ”...I got out to the desert and met with Ali, a horse whisperer who trains Arabian horses, and also saw some of the old market places to get a feel for the history and heritage of the place.”
The cast will also get the opportunity to see the fantastic cityscape of Dubai. Sights for the most recent episode include the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.
This isn’t the first foray outside of their California studios, though. According to the Associated Press, the show has gone on location previously to Italy, Mexico, and Australia.
The soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful became a fan favorite after the show began in 1987. It was created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, who are also known for their work on the series The Young and the Restless.
