Former The Voice winner Cassadee Pope is celebrating her first single to go platinum. "Wasting All These Tears" has reached over 1 million downloads since the single was released.
Pope becomes the first female artist to accomplish this after Taylor Swift did it back in 2006, Country Music Is Love reported. Swift reached this milestone in her career with her debut single, "Tim McGraw."
Pope had dominated the iTunes charts before she even released her debut single with her performances from The Voice, including her covers of "Stupid Boy" and "Over You."
The "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart" singer had her first album, Frame by Frame, which debuted at the top of the country music charts. It entered into the top ten on Billboard's Top 200 when it was released last year.
Following the success of her album and the single "Wasting All These Tears," the Voice champion will be joining Tim McGraw's Sundown Heaven Town this summer. She was recently seen on tour with Rascal Flatts and in Canada with Dean Brody.
Pope, who made a huge connection with fans during her time on The Voice, is always interacting with her fans on her social media networks. She recently announced that will also be filming her next music video during a upcoming concert in Columbus, Ohio, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
