Charlie Sheen's absence holds up production of 'Anger Management'

Actor Charlie Sheen has not been showing up in recent weeks to shoot episodes of his show Anger Management. Because of Sheen's absence, production has been hindered.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sheen has not shown up for a number of days in the last couple of weeks. His no-shows have caused Lionsgate to push back production of the show.

During Sheen's absence, stand-ins have been used in his place and cast members are frustrated by this and threaten to leave the show if Sheen continues his antics.

Sheen's publicist, Jeff Ballard, claims Sheen is not holding up production. "Charlie is always ready, willing and able to shoot Anger Management and looks forward to returning on Monday," Ballard said.

E! Online revealed that last year Selma Blair was fired from the show after receiving a text from Sheen. Although Sheen doesn't have the power to fire anyone, he knows that since he is the star of the show, it wouldn't succeed without him.

According to a source, Sheen was aware that after Anger Management was given an order of 90 episodes by FX, the show considered him a valuable asset.
