The former head of Roc-A-Fella Records took the stand on Friday in the $1 million civil case against him and called the press “racist.”
According to the New York Daily News, Damon Dash is being sued for allegedly having his ex, Linda Williams, locked up on trumped-up charges, but he says he is the victim in the case.
“I've been going through this for 20 plus years,” the hip-hop mogul said of his legal troubles with Williams, who is the mother of his adult son, Damon Dash II.
Dash’s courtroom behavior isn’t exactly helping his case, though.
The New York Post reported on Thursday that Dash called out reporters who attended the court hearing as racist. On Friday, he did the same thing and even got into a screaming match with the judge for his antics.
Williams is suing the 42-year-old for $1 million over the alleged 2009 ordeal.
Dash has long been a staple in the hip-hop community and once dated late R&B songstress Aaliyah.
