Downtown Disney restaurant's fish tank bursts inside restaurant (Video)

By Michelle Kapusta,

A fish tank inside the T-Rex Cafe at Orlando's Downtown Disney burst open during dinner hours on Monday.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, witnesses described water gushing into the dining room and people jumping up from their seats to avoid the stream. Restaurant workers rushed to get guests out of the way and save the fish.

Some diners uploaded images to social media and the Huffington Post noted that at least one photo posted shows employees climbing into the tank.

A spokeswoman for Disney called the leak small. She also said that fish were removed as a precaution and a few of the tables in the restaurant had to be relocated.

No injuries were reported and the fish were saved.

The T-Rex Cafe is a contracted company owned by Landry Hospitality, which owns the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company and the Rainforest Café as well.

The Downtown Disney complex is an area that sits outside of the Walt Disney World theme parks and offers entertainment, restaurants and shopping.
