Florida police release unhelpful sketch of serial urinator

By Daniel S Levine,

A sketch released by the Gainesville, Fla. Police Department is being maligned on the web as being less than helpful to anyone trying to help them catch a serial urinator. The man is suspected of urinating on at least four women in February and March.

In February and March, there were reports that a man had come up on women from behind and urinated on them, reports News4Jax. After the media coverage, three more women reported similar incidents. The Gainesville Police have clarified that these additional reports were of incidents that happened before the first four were reported, not after the media reports at the time.

One of the victims was able to help the police create a sketch of the man. He is described as being black and between 25 and 30-years-old. He is about 6 feet tall with a chunky build, according to News4Jax. He was seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans during his last urinating crime.

Unfortunately, the sketch released on Monday isn’t very helpful, both Gawker and The Huffington Post noted. The sketch makes the man look more like a Mr. Potato Head or even a Muppet. In other words, it doesn’t really look like any specific person at all.

Gainesville police are asking that anyone with information on the urinator call Detective S. Bertzyk at 352-393-7657.
