Jennifer Lawrence goes commando in Tom Ford dress at Vanity Fair Oscars Party

By Gina Masilotti,

Jennifer Lawrence isn’t just an outstanding actress, but an outstanding dresser as well! She knows exactly what dresses fit her body type perfectly, and she rocks them all. At last night’s Oscars, she looked flawless in a red strapless Dior dress and was one of the show's best dressed, but it’s the dress that she wore to the after party that has everybody talking.

At the Vanity Fair Oscar party, Lawrence showed she was ready to party when she wore a short dress that wouldn’t be giving her as much trouble as the longer ones she’s been known to trip over in the past. E! Online reports that she rocked a Tom Ford mini-dress with an embellished design that looked like metallic shattered-glass and sheer sides and back panels, forcing the Best Supporting Actress nominee to go commando. Her bare hip and thigh were completely exposed, but she looked amazing. She also upgraded to a smoky eye to match the black and silver dress.

Lawrence has recently been away filming for the newest Hunger Games movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay. For her role as the famous Katniss Everdeen, she doesn’t exactly have to get too glammed up. Lawrence told Ryan Seacrest, “I’ve been away in Atlanta filming, so I kind of feel like I’m jumping into some random party. It’s nice. It’s fun.”

Lawrence had a big night at this year's Oscars. Us Weekly reports that she became a prime target for the host, Ellen DeGeneres, when she tripped over a cone getting out of her car on the red carpet. Lawrence also tripped last year while going up to receive her award. “I don’t want it to start looking like it’s my thing, so I’ve got to be careful,” said Lawrence.

Despite the fall and losing the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress to Lupita Nyong’o, Lawrence still made sure to have a great time, as she always does. Her and Nyong’o even pretended to fight over the Oscar back stage, according to US Weekly.

No matter what she does or what she wears, we all can’t help but love JLaw.
