One of the highlights of David O. Russell’s American Hustle was seeing Jennifer Lawrence sing along to Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” as she cleaned her character’s apartment. Now that the film is available on DVD and Blu-ray, her fans can enjoy the full scene and see Lawrence clean to another song - Santana’s “Evil Ways.”
In the film, Lawrence played Rosalyn Rosenfeld, the frustrated wife of Irving, Christian Bale’s character. It earned her a Best Supporting Oscar nomination and she was singled out for giving one of the best performances in the film. However, she didn’t win and the film failed to win any award on Oscar night.
Sony released Hustle on home video this week and it includes over 20-minutes of deleted scenes. That includes some extra fun with JLaw. Here’s the full “Live and Let Die” sequence:
Entertainment Tonight also showed the “Evil Ways” scene, showing that Russell had two ways to go for the scene.
