Actor John Cusack is developing a Wall Street pilot for CBS and has just decided to take a role in the project.
The pilot still doesn’t have a name. Cusack initially planned on just executive producing the project, with producers Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly. It is based on a story by Cusack and Kevin McCabe with a script by Taylor Elmore and Ben Cavell. Niels Arden Oplev is directing.
Maggie Grace (Lost) and Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire) have already signed on to star. Cox will play an Afghanistan war veteran who now works on Wall Street.
Deadline reports that Cusack has cast himself as Ted, a former Wall Street trader who is now cynical about the way things work there.
Cusack is rumored to have a part in the next Hunger Games film. The Being John Malkovich actor most recently appeared in Lee Daniels’ The Butler and The Frozen Ground.
