The album title and release date are unknown, but all that is certain is that Julian Casablancas from The Strokes has a solo album in the works—it even comes along with a preview.
In the two minute video, you’ll find warped footage of Casablancas and his backing band The Voidz practicing music, video clips of riots and protestors, a Pac Man game and song previews, according to Radio.com. It's nothing short of mysterious, in true Casablancas fashion.
Casablancas’ record company, Cult Records, will release his solo album and he will continue on to a solo tour. Lollapalooza will see him play in Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Two sets at the Governor’s Ball in New York City await his U.S. return. One set he’ll play with The Strokes, the other will be solo, as reported by Rolling Stone
Comedown Machine, the fifth album released by The Strokes, came out last year but Casablanca remained busy with side projects. He was featured on Daft Punk’s Instant Crush and is now invested in his second solo project.
