Kanye West turned himself into Los Angeles police on Thursday and spent less than an hour at the station. The trip was in connection to his July 2013 LAX scuffle with a photographer.
Earlier this month, West pleaded no contest in the case, which stemmed from an outburst at a TMZ photographer Daniel Ramos, who tried to ask him questions as he arrived at the airport. West got two years of probation, 24 anger management sessions and 250 hours of community service for the incident.
Ramos claimed that the attack was unprovoked and he simply tried to ask West some questions. He noted that he even complimented the rapper.
He was still required to be booked by police and turned himself in Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m., TMZ reported. During the 49-minute visit, he got his fingerprints done and a mugshot taken.
An LAPD spokesperson confirmed the trip to The Hollywood Reporter.
West has certainly had an eventful March already, as the Yeezus rapper appears on the new Vogue cover with his fiancee, Kim Kardashian. The couple also posed with their daughter, North.
