Kristen Bell's tweet sets off FOX News’ Neil Cavuto

By Michelle Kapusta,

Actress Kristen Bell sent out a tweet that did not sit well with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto.

FOX News noted that the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star tweeted "Sorry, RNC. Rich people should pay higher taxes because they can afford it. End. Of. Story. xo a rich person."

The actress’ tweet sparked a Twitter debate and then made national headlines.

The New York Daily News pointed out that the Your World With Neil Cavuto host started his segment on Wednesday night asking "Should the star of Veronica Mars just go live on Mars?"

Dave Maney, a guest on Cavuto’s show suggested that the 33-year-old may have tweeted the message to gain publicity for her new movie.

Bell starred on the television series Cavuto referred to from September 2004 to May 2007. Her new film is a reprisal of the role and continuation of the series. She also lent her voice to the 2013 Disney animated film Frozen as Princess Anna.

At the end of the segment the T.V. host said “But she was great in Frozen.”
